We had dinner here several times early in the year, the food is amazing and if you know a few words Greek the host will be delighted! I had the most delicious chicken prepared in the traditional way, but you can't go wrong with any dish.

Excellent food at an unbeatable price, as far as we experienced in this area (Platanes/Rethymno) - salad, meat & potatoes, bread, fruit - all really tasty. Plus, the couple who run this tavern were very friendly.

Amazing restaurant, can highly recommend. The chef met us at the door and was very friendly, furthermore the food was absolutely amazing at an affordable price. If youre looking for a great authentic greek meal, with an extraordinary service, this is the place to go. Love from Denmark.

Came here on a Tuesday night. No customers when we arrived, only two old men sitting in a corner table in the garden. Found the waiter inside the restaurant, who didn’t speak any English. He quickly set a table for two outside and took our order. Many items on the menu were not available. I was already having some doubts, but when the food arrived, it was probably the most delicisious experience in Crete. Greek salad was absolutely amazing and souvlakis were mouthwatering and juicy. It’s not fine dining but they do home-style cooking really well. The waiter was so friendly although there was a huge language barrier. Overall one of the best dinner places in Rethymnon. I would definitely go again. And above all it’s dirt cheap!
